Tori MCP server: let your AI agent search Finnish second-hand listings
Wield is an MCP server that gives your AI agent one Tori tool, tori.fi/search-marketplace. Tori is Finland's largest marketplace. The tool searches its listings like the site's own search page, for items for sale, giveaways and wanted ads. It returns title, price in euros, place, publishing time, seller type, shipping and buy-now flags, map position, photo and link. The search runs in your own browser.

What your agent gets
| Recipe | What it does | Login | Status (7 Nov 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|
tori.fi/search-marketplace | Finds Tori listings for a query, with price, place, publishing time, seller type, shipping flag and link | No | OK, 6 of 6 checks, 1 request |
The tool takes a required query. The query is free text, and the recipe's examples use Finnish words such as polkupyörä (bicycle) and sohva (sofa). The optional inputs are min_price, max_price, condition, seller, type, sort and page. Prices are in euros.
condition takes new (unopened), like_new, good, used (visibly used) or needs_repair. seller takes any (the default), private or business. type takes for_sale (the default), giveaway (free items) or wanted (people looking to buy). sort takes relevance (the default), newest, oldest, price_low or price_high.
Each page holds 53 listings. Each listing has title, price, currency, location, published_at (in UTC), seller, shipping, buy_now, latitude, longitude, image and url. The result also has query, total, page and last_page.
Display ads are a separate advertising slot. The recipe leaves them out, so every entry in listings is a listing.
How a request flows
- You ask your agent: "Find bicycles on Tori under 200 euros, newest first."
- The agent calls
find_recipe, thenrunwithtori.fi/search-marketplace,queryset topolkupyörä,max_priceset to 200 andsortset tonewest. wield-mcppasses the run through the local bridge to the Wield extension.- The extension sends the request from your browser, so it carries the session you already have.
- The listings go back to your agent. Nothing passes through wield.run.
What leaves your computer
A search makes one request per call to www.tori.fi. It is the same search the page makes. The recipe sends no messages, offers or favourites. Image links point to img.tori.net, and the recipe never calls them. Wield logs the request on your computer only, with method, host, path, status and timing, and never logs bodies or query values. Telemetry is off by default. Wield never reads, copies or sends your cookies or passwords.
Tori's terms, in plain words
Tori's robots.txt allows the search and its API, but disallows URLs with sort= for bots. The recipe sends sort= only when you ask for an order other than relevance. We have not reviewed Tori's terms for automated access yet. The recipe is user-initiated: you start each search, each call runs one search in your own browser, and it is not for bulk collection. The recipe sends no messages, offers or favourites, and it makes no purchases. This is not legal advice. Read Tori's terms yourself before you use this recipe in any other way.
Limits and what is not working yet
- Read only. The recipe finds listings. It does not message sellers, make offers or buy.
- Near matches for nonsense. The search is fuzzy. A query that means nothing still returns near matches, so check the titles.
- Run limits apply. A run has at most 12 steps, 40 requests, 5 MB per response and 60 seconds.
FAQ
Can the agent message a seller or make an offer?
No. The recipe only searches. It sends no messages, offers or favourites. Open the listing's url to contact the seller on tori.fi.
Does the query have to be in Finnish?
No. The query is free text. The recipe's examples use Finnish words such as polkupyörä and sohva, and you can use any words you like.
Does it need a Tori login?
No. Search works without an account.
Which AI apps work with it?
Any MCP client. npx -y wield-mcp init sets up Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and Codex. Other MCP clients work with the standard stdio config.
Where do the results go?
To your agent, on your own computer. The results never pass through wield.run.
