What you need

  • Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or another MCP client.
  • A Chromium browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Vivaldi, Opera or Chromium) with the Wield extension.
  • wield-mcp. Run npx -y wield-mcp init, or use the one-click Claude Desktop bundle on wield.run/install.

For the full setup, follow the quick start.

Ask your agent

Give a dish or ingredients, and say if you want a difficulty level. Claude calls find_recipe to find the recipe, then run with the parameters.

You: Find easy lasagne recipes on GialloZafferano, with the total time and calories per portion.

Claude runs giallozafferano.it/search-recipes with query set to lasagne and difficulty set to facile. It then reads the title, rating, total time and calories from each recipe.

Params: what to put where

ParamRequiredWhat to put in it
queryyesA dish or ingredients, in Italian or English, for example lasagne, tiramisù or pollo al forno.
difficultynoany (the default), facile, media or difficile. facile includes molto facile.
pagenoThe page number, starting at 1. Each page is a separate search.

What comes back

The result has query, total, page and recipes. total is the number of matches, and it can be empty.

Each recipe shows title, course, rating (out of 5), comments, difficulty, total_time, total_minutes, kcal and url. total_time is the time as the site shows it, for example 1 h 10 min. total_minutes is the same time in minutes. kcal is the calories per portion.

url opens the recipe on GialloZafferano. The recipe does not open that page for you.

What leaves your computer

Each search makes one request to www.giallozafferano.it, for one result page. It goes out from your browser. Nothing passes through wield.run. Wield logs the request on your computer, without bodies or query values.

GialloZafferano's terms, in plain words

GialloZafferano's robots.txt disallows the whole site (Disallow: /) for Claude-Web and anthropic-ai. Its rules for other agents allow the search. Wield lists the recipe with this note. The recipe runs only when you ask. It makes one search request per call from your own browser, reads one result page, and does not crawl recipe pages or collect in bulk.

The scope is simple. Wield runs this recipe when you ask for it, for one search per call, from your own browser. It does not run bulk jobs, and it does not buy anything.

Our review of these terms is not finished, and this is not legal advice. Read GialloZafferano's terms and its robots.txt yourself before you use the recipe in any other way.

Limits

  • Read only. The search does not save, rate or cook recipes.
  • No-recipe queries fail. A query with no recipe at all makes the run fail. It does not return an empty list.
  • Times can be empty. Read total_time when total_minutes is empty.
  • Loose matches. Check the title before you use a result.

Status and benchmark

Status on 7 Nov 2026 is OK. The check passed 5 of 5 checks for lasagne in one request, in 0.2 s. We have not benchmarked this recipe against a browser agent yet.

FAQ

Can Claude save or rate a recipe?

No. The recipe only searches. It does not log in or change anything on the site.

Does the search need a login?

No. Search works without an account.

Can Claude get more than the first page?

Yes, by setting page to 2 or higher. Each page is a separate search, so it is one request per call.
