Let Claude search Lidl's online shop by product
To let Claude search Lidl's online shop, install Wield and name a product. For example: "Find coffee machines on Lidl that are reduced, with the price, the struck-through price and the rating." Claude runs the lidl.de/search-products recipe in your own browser. It returns products with price, discount, rating, availability and links. No login is needed, and nothing is added to the cart.

Parameters (1)
What you need
- Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or another MCP client.
- A Chromium browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Vivaldi, Opera or Chromium) with the Wield extension, version 0.1.12 or newer.
wield-mcp. Runnpx -y wield-mcp init, or use the one-click Claude Desktop bundle on wield.run/install.
An older extension makes wield-mcp return extension_outdated. Update the extension first. For the full setup, follow the quick start.
Ask your agent
Give the product or a search term. Claude calls find_recipe to find the recipe, then run with the parameters.
You: Find coffee machines on Lidl that are reduced, with the price, the struck-through price and the rating.
Claude runs lidl.de/search-products with query set to kaffeemaschine. It then reads the title, price, struck-through price, discount and rating from each product.
Params: what to put where
| Param | Required | What to put in it |
|---|---|---|
query | yes | What to look for, for example kaffeemaschine, akkuschrauber or parkside. |
The recipe has no sort or page input. It reads the first 48 results in Lidl's order.
What comes back
The result has query and products. Each product shows title, brand, price_eur, was_eur, discount_percent, rating, reviews, availability, image and url.
was_eur is the struck-through price, and it is empty when the product is not reduced. availability reads online, coming soon, or in stores on given dates. url opens the product on Lidl. The recipe does not open that page for you.
What leaves your computer
Each search makes one request to www.lidl.de, for one search page. It goes out from your browser. Nothing passes through wield.run. Wield logs the request on your computer, without bodies or query values.
Lidl's terms, in plain words
Lidl's robots.txt disallows *search?q=* and *?offset=* for bots. This recipe calls the search page itself, once per request you make, from your own browser. It reads the first page only, because paging uses the disallowed offset parameter. The robots file has no rules for Claude agents, and the site sends no AI content signals.
The scope is simple. Wield runs this recipe when you ask for it, for one search per call, from your own browser. It does not run bulk jobs, and it does not buy anything.
Our review of these terms is not finished, and this is not legal advice. Read Lidl's terms and its robots.txt yourself before you use the recipe in any other way.
Limits
- Read only. The search does not add anything to the cart or log in.
- First page only. Up to 48 results come back.
- Semantic search. A nonsense query still returns products. Check the
title. - Extension version. The recipe needs Wield extension 0.1.12 or newer.
Status and benchmark
