Let your AI agent compare electricity tariffs
Wield's Check24 recipe, check24.de/compare-electricity, lists electricity tariffs for a postcode and yearly consumption. Each result gives provider, tariff name and monthly price. The recipe also adds a bonus-free annual cost, because the price shown on Check24 mixes bases. Only Check24 is covered today.

check24.de/compare-electricity | Tariffs for a postcode and yearly consumption, with provider, tariff name, monthly price and annual_cost_eur | Verified: 7 of 7 checks for Berlin 10178 and München 80331, 2 requests, 1.6 s |
The live check fetched a turbo-stream response of about 800 KB. The recipe needs no login.
What your agent gets
The recipe takes two inputs: a postcode and a yearly consumption in kWh. It returns one row per tariff, with these fields:
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Provider | The energy supplier named on Check24 |
| Tariff name | The name of the tariff as listed |
| Monthly price | The monthly price shown on the results page |
annual_cost_eur | The yearly cost in euros, computed without bonuses |
The live check used two postcodes, Berlin 10178 and München 80331, so the same request shape works in more than one city. Your agent can keep the rows, sort them, or pass them to a spreadsheet tool on your computer.
Example prompts
- "Compare electricity tariffs for postcode 10178 at 2,500 kWh a year."
- "List the five cheapest tariffs for München 80331 with the bonus-free annual cost for each."
- "Show the Berlin tariffs sorted by annual cost, with provider and tariff name."
When the comparison helps
A comparison helps when you want the same consumption set against several tariffs in one place. Your agent can rerun it for a second postcode, for example a flat and a parents' house, and show both lists. The recipe handles the request, and your agent handles the table.
Why the annual cost is bonus-free
The monthly price on the results page mixes different bases. The recipe adds annual_cost_eur without bonuses, so tariffs can be read side by side on the same basis. Use that figure to compare tariffs. It is a comparison aid, not a recommendation.
What it can't do yet
- One comparison site. Only Check24 has a recipe. Other tariff comparison sites are not in the registry.
- No switching. No recipe orders or switches a tariff, and Wield does not sign you up with a provider.
- No advice. Wield shows the prices and terms the site returns. It does not judge which tariff suits you.
How it compares with a browser agent
Check24 is in the benchmark as "electricity tariff comparison". A run passes when it finds at least five tariffs with provider, tariff name and monthly price. The Wield recipe passed 9 of 9 runs with a median of 1,544 ms. The cloud browser agent passed 5 of 5 runs with a median of 103,392 ms and a model cost of $0.2629 per run. The figures are preliminary, as of 7 Nov 2026. Details are on the Check24 benchmark.

No. No recipe changes a contract today.
How long does a comparison take?
