OLX MCP server: let your AI agent search OLX.pl listings in your browser
Wield is an MCP server that gives your AI agent one OLX tool, olx.pl/search-listings. The tool searches OLX.pl, Poland's largest classifieds site, by keyword, city and radius, price in złoty and condition. It returns the title, price, condition, city, district, posted and refreshed times, seller type and a link to each listing. The recipe runs only in your own browser, because OLX blocks requests from servers.

What your agent gets
Wield's recipe uses the same requests the OLX search page makes. In your agent, it shows up as one tool through wield-mcp:
| Recipe | What it does | Login | Status (7 Nov 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|
olx.pl/search-listings | Searches OLX.pl listings with city, radius, price, condition and sort filters | No | OK, browser only, 6 of 6 checks |
The tool takes query, which is required. Examples are rower (bicycle) and iphone 13. Optional inputs are:
city, a Polish city or town such asKrakóworGdańsk. The best match from OLX's own place lookup is used.distance_km, a radius around the city. Allowed values are 0, 2, 5, 10, 15, 30, 50, 75 and 100. It works only together withcity.min_priceandmax_pricein PLN.condition:any(the default),neworused.sort:relevance(the default),newest,price_loworprice_high.page, starting at 1.include_promoted, which isfalseby default. Paid top ads are dropped unless you set it totrue. When kept, they are shown first, whatever the sort.
The result has query, city, region, total, page and listings. city shows the city OLX matched, so your agent can check it.
Why this runs only in your browser
OLX blocks requests from servers. Servers get refused after a couple of requests. So this recipe runs only in your own browser, through the Wield extension. If OLX shows a check in your browser, Wield stops with a site challenge and asks you to solve it in your own tab. Wield does not solve that check for you.
How a request flows
- You ask your agent: "Find used bicycles in Kraków up to 500 PLN, cheapest first."
- The agent calls
find_recipe, thenrunwitholx.pl/search-listings,query: "rower",city: "Kraków",condition: "used",max_price: 500andsort: "price_low". wield-mcppasses the run through a local bridge to the Wield extension in your browser.- The recipe takes two steps. It looks up the city, then runs the search with the city's id.
- The listings go back to your agent. Nothing passes through wield.run.
What leaves your computer
The only host is www.olx.pl. The recipe makes one or two requests, and they go out from your browser. Nothing passes through wield.run. Wield logs each request on your computer only: method, host, path, status and timing. It never logs bodies or query values. Telemetry is off by default. Wield never reads, copies or sends your cookies or passwords. See the security notes.
The search needs no OLX login.
OLX's terms, in plain words
OLX's terms forbid automated data collection without consent. We have not reviewed those terms as a lawyer would, so this is not legal advice. The recipe makes the same one or two requests that OLX's search page makes, in your browser, one search per call. It sends no messages and reads no contact details. Read OLX's terms before you use this recipe, and decide for yourself whether your use is allowed.
Limits and what is not included
- Read only. The tool searches. It does not message sellers, read contact details or post listings.
- Browser only. The recipe needs your browser open. It cannot run from a server, so schedules on a server will not work.
- Paid top ads are hidden. Set
include_promotedtotrueto keep them. They are markedpromoted. - The search is loose. A query with no real matches still returns loosely related listings, as the site does.
- Run limits apply. A run has at most 12 steps, 40 requests, 5 MB per response and 60 seconds. This search uses two steps.
- Results are website content. Your agent is told not to follow instructions found in listing text.
FAQ
Which AI apps work with it?
Any MCP client. npx -y wield-mcp init sets up Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and Codex. Other MCP clients work with the standard stdio config.
Does it need an OLX login?
No. Search works without an account.
Why does it say "browser only"?
OLX blocks requests from servers, so the recipe runs only in your own browser, with the Wield extension. It does not run from a server.
Can the agent message sellers?
No. The recipe does not read contact details or send messages. Open the url from a result to contact the seller on OLX yourself.
