Rightmove MCP server: let your AI agent search UK homes to rent or buy
Wield is an MCP server that gives your AI agent one Rightmove tool, rightmove.co.uk/search-properties. The tool searches homes to rent or to buy in a town, area or postcode, filtered by price, bedrooms, property type, radius and sort. Each result has the price, bedrooms, bathrooms, address, agent, coordinates and link. It runs in your own browser, and the recipe needs no login.

What your agent gets
| Recipe | What it does | Login | Status (7 Nov 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|
rightmove.co.uk/search-properties | Homes to rent or buy in a UK town, area or postcode, by price, bedrooms, type, radius and sort | No | OK, 6 of 6 checks, 2 requests |
The tool takes location as its only required input. You can add channel (rent or buy, default rent), price limits in GBP, bedroom limits, property_type, radius_miles, sort, page and include_featured. Location names are free text, such as Manchester, Clapham or a postcode like SW1A 1AA. The tool uses the first match of Rightmove's location search and returns the place it matched.
Prices are in GBP. When you rent, price limits apply per calendar month. Each result also carries rent_pcm_gbp, a monthly figure. Weekly rents are converted the way Rightmove shows both.
In our check on 7 November 2026, a Manchester search for rentals up to £2,000 a month with at least two bedrooms passed 6 of 6 checks in 2 requests. A search for terraced homes for sale in SW11 1AA, highest price first, found 127 properties and showed 24 of them. Seven premium listings stayed in the results, marked as promoted. A run has no model in the loop, so it uses no LLM tokens.
How a request flows
- You ask your agent: "Find flats to rent in Manchester up to £2,000 a month with at least two bedrooms, newest first."
- The agent calls
find_recipe, thenrunwithrightmove.co.uk/search-propertiesand the parameters. wield-mcppasses the run through the local bridge to the Wield extension.- The extension sends the requests from your browser, so the search runs the way it would if you searched the site yourself.
- The properties go back to your agent. Nothing passes through wield.run.
What leaves your computer
The recipe calls two hosts: los.rightmove.co.uk for the location search and www.rightmove.co.uk for the results list. A search makes two requests, and it needs no login. Wield logs each request on your computer only: method, host, path, status and timing. It never logs bodies or query values. Telemetry is off by default. Wield never reads, copies or sends your cookies or passwords.
Rightmove's terms, in plain words
We have not reviewed Rightmove's terms for automated access yet, so this is not legal advice. One run is one person's search, with two requests, the same ones the search box and the results page make. The recipe sends no enquiries and books no viewings. Enquiries and viewings stay on rightmove.co.uk. Check the site's terms yourself before you automate anything more.
Limits and what is not working yet
- Read only. Enquiries and viewings happen on rightmove.co.uk, not through the tool.
- Locations are matched, not confirmed. The first match wins, so check
locationin the result. - Featured slots are hidden. Paid featured placements are dropped unless you set
include_featured. Premium listings stay and are markedpromoted. - Pages. A results page holds 25 properties. Use
pageto read the next one. - Run limits apply. A run has at most 12 steps, 40 requests, 5 MB per response and 60 seconds.
