mobile.de MCP server: let your AI agent search used cars
Wield is an MCP server that gives your AI agent one mobile.de tool: a search of used cars by make, price, year and mileage. The search runs in your own browser with your own session. mobile.de's bot protection rejects requests that do not come from a browser, so the recipe runs only there. In our benchmark it passed 5 of 9 runs, so check results before you rely on them.

9 runs each, 7 November 2026. How we measure
What your agent gets
| Recipe | What it does | Login | Status (7 Nov 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|
mobile.de/search-cars | Lists used cars: title, price and whether it is negotiable, price rating, first registration, mileage, power, fuel, seller, location and link | No | OK, with a start path. 5 of 9 benchmark runs passed |
The search takes a make (required, chosen from a list of brands), a price range, a first-registration year from, a maximum mileage, a sort by relevance or price, and an option to include sponsored listings. Sponsored listings are dropped by default. Each car also carries damaged, accident and roadworthy fields. The how-to page has the parameters and example prompts.
How a request flows
- You ask your agent: "Find used Volkswagen cars under 15,000 euros with less than 80,000 km."
- The agent calls
find_recipe, thenrunwithmobile.de/search-carsand{make: "Volkswagen", price_to: 15000, max_km: 80000}. - wield-mcp passes the run through a local bridge to the Wield extension.
- The extension sends the request from a mobile.de tab, so it carries your browser session.
- The results go back to your agent. Nothing passes through wield.run.
What leaves your computer
The search sends one request to one host, suchen.mobile.de, for each run. Wield does not follow redirects to other hosts. Passwords and cookies never leave your computer. Wield logs the request on your computer only, without bodies or query values.
mobile.de terms, in plain words
mobile.de's terms prohibit automated data extraction. The recipe runs one user-started search page at a time, from your own browser. Contacting sellers stays on mobile.de. We have not completed a review of the terms for this recipe, so read them before you automate anything else.
Limits and what is not working yet
- Pass rate. The recipe passed 5 of 9 benchmark runs (56%). Check the cars it returns against the mobile.de page when the choice matters.
- Start path. The search depends on a specific start path. If the path redirects, the run fails with an error instead of returning zero cars, so your agent can retry.
- Browser only. mobile.de's protection rejects non-browser clients, so the recipe cannot run from a server. Wield does not solve bot checks. When a check appears, Wield stops and asks you to solve it in your own tab.
- Sellers stay on mobile.de. Contacting a seller is not part of the recipe.
FAQ
Is there an official mobile.de MCP server?
Not that we know of as of 7 November 2026. Wield provides this search as a recipe that runs in your browser.
Which AI apps work with it?
Any MCP client. npx -y wield-mcp init sets up Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and Codex. The AI apps page lists each one.
Does it need a login?
No. The search runs without an account.
How fast is it compared with a browser agent?
In our benchmark, as of 7 Nov 2026 (preliminary, still running), the recipe passed 5 of 9 runs with a median of 2.1 seconds. Browser Use driving Claude Sonnet 5.5 passed 0 of 9 runs, with a median of 13.5 seconds and about $0.02 per run. Bot protection blocked the browser agent in all nine runs. The recipe's lower pass rate is part of the data. The benchmark page has the method and raw logs.
