AutoScout24 MCP server: let your AI agent search used cars by make, price, year and mileage
Wield is an MCP server that gives your AI agent a used-car search for autoscout24.de, .it, .fr, .at, .nl and .es. The agent can search by make, model, price, first-registration year, mileage and distance from a postcode. It returns the make and model, price with AutoScout24's price rating, mileage, fuel, power, seller type and link. The search runs in your own browser. Your passwords and cookies never leave your computer.

9 runs each, 7 November 2026. How we measure
What your agent gets
A Wield recipe is a small public file that describes the request AutoScout24's own search makes. Your agent runs it through wield-mcp, the local MCP server on your computer.
| Recipe | What it does | Login | Status (7 Nov 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|
autoscout24.de/search-cars | Searches used cars: make, model, price, year, mileage, fuel, transmission, power, dealer or private seller, location and link | No | ok, 5 of 5 checks |
Two filters need care. The make is a lowercase URL slug, so use volkswagen, not vw. Paid placements are dropped by default. The how-to guide shows example prompts.
Countries
Wield has one search recipe for each AutoScout24 country site below. All six take the same parameters, drop paid placements by default and need no login. The terms note is the same for all six (see AutoScout24's terms below).

How a request flows
- You ask your agent for a Volkswagen Golf up to 15,000 euros, from 2018, cheapest first.
- The agent calls
find_recipe, thenrunwithautoscout24.de/search-cars. wield-mcppasses the run through a local bridge to the Wield extension in your browser.- The extension sends the request from an autoscout24.de tab, with your own session.
- The results return to your agent. Nothing passes through wield.run.
What leaves your computer
- One search request to the country site you pick (
www.autoscout24.de,www.autoscout24.itorwww.autoscout24.fr) per run. - Wield never reads, copies or sends your cookies or passwords.
- Results go to your AI app and are marked as website content, so your agent is told not to follow instructions found in them.
- Logs stay on your computer. They never record request bodies or query values.
Recipes are data, not code, and no JavaScript from the registry runs in the page. The registry signs every recipe with Ed25519, and wield-mcp refuses a recipe that is unsigned or has changed. Wield sends no Cookie or Host headers, and it redacts derived tokens from results and logs.
AutoScout24's terms, in plain words
The robots.txt of each AutoScout24 country site disallows AI training crawlers, including ClaudeBot. AutoScout24's terms prohibit automated data collection. Wield runs this recipe only when you ask, in your own browser, one search page per call: no bulk collection and no purchases. Contacting a dealer stays on the AutoScout24 site you search, and the recipe does not contact anyone. Read AutoScout24's terms yourself.
Limits and what is not working yet
- In our benchmark on autoscout24.de, Wield passed 9 of 9 runs. The benchmark covers one search task with three fixed queries.
- Make and model must match AutoScout24's URL slugs. A wrong slug returns no useful results.
- If AutoScout24 changes its results page, the recipe can stop working until it is updated.
Every run stops at 12 steps, 40 requests, 5 MB per response or 60 seconds. Pacing is set per site, so a single search cannot run away.
FAQ
Which AutoScout24 countries work?
Six country sites have a search recipe: autoscout24.de (Germany), autoscout24.it (Italy), autoscout24.fr (France), autoscout24.at (Austria), autoscout24.nl (the Netherlands) and autoscout24.es (Spain). The Countries table above gives each recipe id. None needs a login.
Is there an official AutoScout24 MCP server?
Not that we know of as of 7 November 2026. Wield's recipe reads the same search the AutoScout24 website uses.
Which AI apps work with it?
Any MCP client. npx -y wield-mcp init sets up Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and Codex. Claude Desktop also has a one-click bundle on wield.run/install.
Does it need an AutoScout24 login?
No. The search needs no login. It uses the session your browser already has, and your password never leaves your computer.
How fast is it compared with a browser agent?
As of 7 November 2026, in our preliminary benchmark on autoscout24.de, the recipe passed 9 of 9 runs with a median of 860 ms and no model cost. Browser Use driving Claude Sonnet 5.5 passed 5 of 5 runs, with a median of 144.5 s and $0.54 per run. Italy, France, Austria, the Netherlands and Spain have no benchmark row yet. The full method is on the benchmark page.
