Amazon MCP server: let your AI agent search products with price, rating and Prime
Wield is an MCP server that gives your AI agent one Amazon search tool per country: Amazon.com, Amazon.de, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.fr, Amazon.it, Amazon.es, Amazon.nl and Amazon.ca. The agent searches by keyword and gets back product titles, prices, struck-through prices, star ratings, rating counts and Prime eligibility. The search runs in your own browser with your own session. Your passwords and cookies never leave your computer.

9 runs each, 7 November 2026. How we measure
What your agent gets
A Wield recipe is a small public file that describes the search request Amazon's own site makes. Your agent runs it through wield-mcp, the local MCP server on your computer.
| Recipe | What it does | Login | Status (7 Nov 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|
amazon.com/search-products | Searches products with title, price, rating, Prime flag, image and product link. Sponsored results are dropped by default | No | ok, 5 of 5 checks |
The recipe takes a query, a sort order (featured, cheapest first, best rated or newest), a page number and an option to keep sponsored results. The how-to guide shows example prompts.
Countries
Wield has one search recipe for each Amazon country site below. All eight take the same parameters, return the same fields and need no login. The terms note is the same in every country (see Amazon's terms below).
| Store | Recipe | Login | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Amazon.com (US) | amazon.com/search-products | No | Prices in US dollars. Amazon serves a CAPTCHA to non-browser traffic at volume, so run it from your browser. Checked 7 Nov 2026: 5 of 5 checks. The only country with a benchmark row so far. |
| Amazon.de (Germany) | amazon.de/search-products | No | Prices in euros. Reads prices and ratings whether the page is in German or English. Checked 7 Nov 2026: 7 of 7 checks. |
| Amazon.co.uk (UK) | amazon.co.uk/search-products | No | Prices in pounds, or in the currency Amazon converts to for visitors abroad. Browser only: the site blocks servers. Checked 7 Nov 2026: 7 of 7 checks. |
| Amazon.fr (France) | amazon.fr/search-products | No | Prices in euros. Reads prices and ratings whether the page is in French or English. Browser only: the site blocks servers. Checked 7 Nov 2026: 7 of 7 checks. |
| Amazon.it (Italy) | amazon.it/search-products | No | Prices in euros. Reads prices and ratings whether the page is in Italian or English. Checked 7 Nov 2026: 7 of 7 checks. |
| Amazon.es (Spain) | amazon.es/search-products | No | Prices in euros. Reads prices and ratings whether the page is in Spanish or English. Checked 7 Nov 2026: 7 of 7 checks. In our tests, Amazon.es showed a bot check after about six runs. Wield then stops and asks you to solve it in your own tab. |
| Amazon.nl (Netherlands) | amazon.nl/search-products | No | Prices in euros. Reads prices and ratings whether the page is in Dutch or English. Checked 7 Nov 2026: 7 of 7 checks. |
| Amazon.ca (Canada) | amazon.ca/search-products | No | Prices in Canadian dollars. Reads prices and ratings whether the page is in English or French. Checked 7 Nov 2026: 7 of 7 checks. |
How a request flows
- You ask your agent for a USB-C charger under 20 euros, cheapest first.
- The agent calls
find_recipe, thenrunwithamazon.com/search-products. wield-mcppasses the run through a local bridge to the Wield extension in your browser.- The extension sends the request from an amazon.com tab, with your own session.
- The results return to your agent. Nothing passes through wield.run.
What leaves your computer
- One search request to the Amazon site you pick (for example
www.amazon.com) per run. - Wield never reads, copies or sends your cookies or passwords.
- Prices follow the currency Amazon shows your browser. In Germany that is EUR. In the US it is USD.
- Results go to your AI app and are marked as website content, so your agent is told not to follow instructions found in them.
- Logs stay on your computer. They never record request bodies or query values.
Recipes are data, not code, and no JavaScript from the registry runs in the page. The registry signs every recipe with Ed25519, and wield-mcp refuses a recipe that is unsigned or has changed. Wield sends no Cookie or Host headers, and it redacts derived tokens from results and logs.
Amazon's terms, in plain words
Amazon's robots.txt disallows Claude-User (AI agents acting for users) and Anthropic's crawlers on all paths, and Amazon's Conditions of Use restrict robots and data mining. This applies to all eight country sites. Wield runs a recipe only when you ask, in your own browser, one search page per call: no bulk collection, no purchases and no account actions. This is not legal advice. Read Amazon's conditions yourself.
Limits and what is not working yet
- In our benchmark on Amazon.com, Wield passed 9 of 9 runs. The benchmark covers one search task with three fixed queries, so it does not show how the recipe does on every query.
- Sponsored cards often repeat organic results. The recipe drops them unless you ask to keep them.
- If Amazon changes its search page, the recipe can stop working until it is updated.
Every run stops at 12 steps, 40 requests, 5 MB per response or 60 seconds. Pacing is set per site, so a single search cannot run away.
FAQ
Which Amazon countries work?
Eight country sites have a search recipe: Amazon.com, Amazon.de, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.fr, Amazon.it, Amazon.es, Amazon.nl and Amazon.ca. The Countries table above gives each recipe id. None needs a login. Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.fr run only in your browser, because the site blocks servers.
Is there an official Amazon MCP server?
Not that we know of as of 7 November 2026. Wield's recipe reads the same search the Amazon website uses.
Which AI apps work with it?
Any MCP client. npx -y wield-mcp init sets up Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and Codex. Claude Desktop also has a one-click bundle on wield.run/install.
Does it need an Amazon login?
No. The search needs no login. It uses the session your browser already has, and your password never leaves your computer.
How fast is it compared with a browser agent?
As of 7 November 2026, in our preliminary benchmark on Amazon.com, the recipe passed 9 of 9 runs with a median of 1,306 ms and no model cost. Browser Use driving Claude Sonnet 5.5 passed 4 of 4 runs, with a median of 45.2 s and $0.16 per run. We have no benchmark row yet for the other seven countries. The full method is on the benchmark page.
