Let Claude search Amazon for products with price, rating and Prime
To let Claude search Amazon products, install Wield and ask for what you want, with an optional sort order. Wield runs one search from your own browser with the amazon.com/search-products recipe. You get product titles, prices, struck-through prices, star ratings, Prime eligibility and links. Sponsored results are left out unless you ask for them.

9 runs each, 7 November 2026. How we measure
What you need
- An MCP client: Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor or Codex.
- A Chromium browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Vivaldi, Opera) with the Wield extension.
- wield-mcp. Run
npx -y wield-mcp init, or use the one-click Claude Desktop bundle on wield.run/install. The quick start ends with a live check.
You don't need to log in to Amazon to search. Buying stays on amazon.com.
Ask your agent
Say what you want, and how to sort the results. For example:
"Search Amazon for a 65W USB-C charger and list the top results with price and rating, sorted by price."
Claude runs amazon.com/search-products with the query and sort set to cheapest first.
Params: what to put where
| Param | Required | What to put in it |
|---|---|---|
query | Yes | What to search for, e.g. usb c charger |
sort | No | relevanceblender (featured, the default), price-asc-rank (cheapest first), price-desc-rank (highest price first), review-rank (best rated) or date-desc-rank (newest) |
page | No | Results page. Default 1 |
include_sponsored | No | true keeps sponsored results. Default false |
"Sorted by price" means price-asc-rank. Claude picks it from your words, so you can say "cheapest first" or "best rated" instead of naming the value.
What comes back
The top level has query, page and products. Each product has:
asin,titleandurlpriceandwas_price, withcurrencyratingandratings_countprime, which is true when the product is Prime eligiblesponsored,image_url
Prices come in the currency Amazon shows the visitor. From Germany that is euros. Sponsored cards are dropped unless include_sponsored is true.
What leaves your computer
One request goes to www.amazon.com per search, sent from your own browser tab. Nothing goes through wield.run. Wield logs the method, host, path, status and timing on your computer. It never logs bodies or query values. Telemetry is off by default. Passwords and cookies never leave your computer.
Limits and terms
- Terms. Amazon's robots.txt disallows Claude-User (AI agents acting for users) and Anthropic's crawlers on all paths, and Amazon's Conditions of Use restrict robots and data mining. Wield runs this recipe only when you ask, from your own browser, one search page per call: no bulk collection, no purchases and no account actions. Read Amazon's conditions yourself.
- Buying. The recipe is read-only. It does not add items to a cart or place an order. You buy on amazon.com.
- Status. The recipe reports OK on 7 November 2026 at 12:58 in a wield-dev check. The check passed 5 of 5 tests, with one request in 1.3 s.
