2dehands MCP server: let your AI agent search listings in Belgium
Wield is an MCP server that gives your AI agent one 2dehands tool, 2dehands.be/search-listings. The tool searches 2dehands listings by keyword, price range and distance from a Belgian postcode. It returns title, description, price in euros and price type, condition, city, distance, seller, delivery options and a link to each listing. It runs in your own browser, and no login is needed.

What your agent gets
| Recipe | What it does | Login | Status (7 Nov 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|
2dehands.be/search-listings | Searches listings by keyword, price, distance from a postcode and sort. Business ads are dropped by default | No | OK, 5 of 5 checks, 1 request, 0.5 s |
The tool takes query as its one required value, for example fiets (bicycle) or bakfiets (cargo bike). The other filters are optional: a price range in euros, a Belgian postcode of four digits, distance_km, sort, page and include_ads. distance_km works only with a postcode, and it accepts 3, 5, 10, 15, 25, 50 or 75. Each run returns one results page.
How a request flows
- You ask your agent: "Find cargo bikes within 10 km of Gent, nearest first."
- The agent calls
find_recipe, thenrunwith2dehands.be/search-listingsandquery: "bakfiets",postcode: "9000",distance_km: 10andsort: "distance". wield-mcppasses the run through the local bridge to the Wield extension.- The extension sends the request from a 2dehands.be tab, so it runs the way your browser would run it.
- The listings go back to your agent. Nothing passes through wield.run.
In our check on 7 November 2026, a cargo bike search near postcode 9000 (Gent) within 10 km, sorted by distance, returned 97 matches in total and 30 listings. Gent came first at 0 km.
What leaves your computer
The only host the recipe calls is www.2dehands.be. Each run makes one search request, the same one the 2dehands list page makes. The recipe sends no messages and places no bids. Requests go out with the session your browser already has. Wield logs each request on your computer only, without bodies or query values. Telemetry is off by default. Wield never reads, copies or sends your cookies or passwords.
2dehands' terms, in plain words
We have not reviewed 2dehands' terms for automated access, so we cannot say whether this use is allowed. The site's robots.txt disallows this search API path for bots. Wield runs the recipe only when you start a search, from your own browser, one request per search. The daily server health check skips this recipe for that reason, so its health is measured from runs instead. This is not legal advice. Check 2dehands' terms yourself before you automate anything else.
Limits and what is not working yet
- Read only. The tool searches. It sends no messages and places no bids.
- Business ads are hidden. Ads from businesses are marked sponsored and dropped by default. Set
include_adstotrueto keep them, marked. - Paid boosts are marked. A paid boost of a genuine listing is kept and marked
promoted. - Distance needs a postcode. Without
postcode,distance_kmdoes nothing. - Run limits apply. A run has at most 12 steps, 40 requests, 5 MB per response and 60 seconds.
FAQ
Is there an official 2dehands MCP server?
The 2dehands tool is a Wield recipe, made by Wield and not by 2dehands. This page does not say whether 2dehands offers an API or allows automated access. Check the site's terms.
Which AI apps work with it?
Any MCP client. npx -y wield-mcp init sets up Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and Codex. Other MCP clients work with the standard stdio config.
Does it need a 2dehands login?
No. The search needs no account.
Can the agent message a seller or place a bid?
No. The recipe only reads search results. It sends no messages and places no bids.
How does it compare with a browser agent?
Wield's preliminary benchmark, as of 7 November 2026, has no task for this recipe, so we have no speed or success figures to publish for it. The method and the tasks we did measure are on the benchmark page.
