Let Claude search 2dehands listings in Belgium by price and distance

To let Claude search 2dehands, install Wield, then name the item, a price range or a postcode with a distance. For example: "Find cargo bikes within 10 km of Gent, nearest first." Claude runs the 2dehands.be/search-listings recipe in your own browser. It returns listings with title, price in euros, condition, city, distance and a link. No login is needed.

What you need

  • Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or another MCP client.
  • A Chromium browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Vivaldi, Opera) with the Wield extension.
  • wield-mcp. Run npx -y wield-mcp init, or use the one-click Claude Desktop bundle on wield.run/install.

Ask your agent

Give the item, and add a price range, a postcode and a distance if you want to search near a place. Claude calls find_recipe to find the recipe, then run with the parameters.

You: Find cargo bikes within 10 km of Gent, nearest first. Show the title, price, condition and link.

Claude then runs 2dehands.be/search-listings with query, postcode, distance_km and sort, and reads the fields from each listing.

What comes back

The result has query, total, page and listings. total is the number of matches, and it can be null.

Each listing shows title, description, price_eur, price_type (for example fixed, bidding or free), condition, city, distance_km, latitude, longitude, listed, seller, seller_verified, delivery (pickup or shipping), promoted, sponsored, image and url. The url opens the listing on 2dehands.be.

What leaves your computer

The recipe calls one host: www.2dehands.be. Each run makes one search request, the same one the list page makes. Nothing passes through wield.run. Wield logs each request on your computer, without bodies or query values.

Limits and terms

  • We have not reviewed 2dehands' terms for automated access. robots.txt disallows this search API path for bots, so the recipe runs only when you start a search, from your browser, one request at a time. Do not loop it.
  • The recipe sends no messages and places no bids. Contact sellers and bid on the site yourself.
  • Status on 7 Nov 2026 is "ok". A search for "fiets" up to 300 euros, newest first, passed 5 of 5 checks in 1 request, in 0.5 s. A cargo bike search near 9000 Gent within 10 km, sorted by distance, returned 97 matches, and 27 of its 30 listings showed a condition. A nonsense query returned 0 results.

FAQ

Can Claude place a bid or send a message?

No. The recipe only reads search results. It sends no messages and places no bids.

Does it need a login?

No. The search needs no account.

What does distance mean in the result?

distance_km is the distance from the postcode you gave. It is set only when you pass a postcode.

Why are some listings marked sponsored?

Those are business ads. They are dropped by default. Set include_ads to true to keep them, marked.

How does it compare with a browser agent?

Not measured yet. This recipe is not part of Wield's preliminary benchmark as of 7 November 2026. The benchmark page explains the method and the tasks we did measure.
