What you need

  • Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or another MCP client.
  • A Chromium browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Vivaldi, Opera) with the Wield extension.
  • wield-mcp. Run npx -y wield-mcp init, or use the one-click Claude Desktop bundle on wield.run/install.

For the full setup, follow the quick start.

Ask your agent

Give a French dish name or ingredients. Claude calls find_recipe to find the recipe, then run with the query.

You: Find lasagnes recipes on Marmiton and list the rating, number of reviews and link for each.

Claude runs marmiton.org/search-recipes with query set to lasagnes. It then reads the title, course, rating, reviews and link from each of the 15 recipes.

Params: what to put where

ParamRequiredWhat to put in it
queryyesA French dish name or ingredients, for example lasagnes, gâteau au chocolat or poulet curry.

The recipe has no other inputs. It reads the first results page only.

What comes back

The result has query, total and recipes. total is the number of matches, and a search with no matches is read as zero results.

Each recipe shows title, course, rating out of 5, reviews, has_video, image and url. The results carry no cooking times. Open the url of a recipe to see its time.

What leaves your computer

Each search makes one request to www.marmiton.org, for the first results page. It goes out from your browser. Nothing passes through wield.run. Wield logs the request on your computer, without bodies or query values.

Marmiton's terms, in plain words

Marmiton's robots.txt allows the search page, /recettes/recherche.aspx, for a query. It disallows the paged variants of that search, the URLs with page or start. So the recipe reads only the first page of results. Each call makes one request. The recipe opens no recipe pages and takes no cookbook or comment actions.

The scope is simple. Wield runs this recipe when you ask for it, for one search per call, from your own browser. It does not run bulk jobs, and it does not buy anything.

Our review of these terms is not finished, and this is not legal advice. Read Marmiton's terms and its robots.txt yourself before you use the recipe in any other way.

Limits

  • First page only. You get 15 results per search, and the recipe does not page.
  • No cooking times. Open the recipe url for them.
  • Read only. The search does not save, rate or comment.
  • Marmiton's order. Results come in Marmiton's order, with no sort option.

Status and benchmark

Status on 7 Nov 2026 is OK. The check passed 5 of 5 checks in 1 request and 0.2 s on the query lasagnes, which returned 15 recipes out of 744 matches. We have not benchmarked this recipe against a browser agent yet.

The recipe returns zero results. It does not return an error.
