Let Claude search Doctolib for doctors by specialty and city

To let Claude search Doctolib doctors, install Wield and name a specialty and a city. For example: "Find a Hautarzt in Berlin accepting public insurance patients and list name, address and whether new patients are accepted." Claude runs the doctolib.de/search-practitioners recipe in your own browser. It returns practitioners with their addresses and the ids that a slot lookup needs. No login is needed.

What you need

  • Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or another MCP client.
  • A Chromium browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Vivaldi, Opera) with the Wield extension.
  • wield-mcp. Run npx -y wield-mcp init, or use the one-click Claude Desktop bundle on wield.run/install.

For the full setup, follow the quick start.

Ask your agent

Name the specialty in German, the city and your insurance type. Claude calls find_recipe to find the recipe, then run with the parameters.

You: Find a Hautarzt in Berlin accepting public insurance patients and list name, address and whether new patients are accepted.

Claude then runs doctolib.de/search-practitioners with specialty, city and insurance_sector. For free appointments, see how to get free Doctolib slots, which takes the ids from this search.

Params: what to put where

ParamRequiredWhat to put in it
specialtyyesSpecialty in German, for example Hautarzt, Hausarzt, Zahnarzt or Kinderarzt.
cityyesCity, for example Berlin, München or Frankfurt am Main.
insurance_sectornopublic (gesetzlich, GKV) or private (privat, PKV). Default public.
pageno0-based page of 20 results. Default 0.

If the insurance sector is wrong for the practice, Doctolib can return empty days. Pick the sector your insurance uses.

What comes back

The result has specialty, city, insurance_sector, total and page, plus a list of practitioners. Each practitioner shows name, kind, specialty, address, zip, city, url, accepts_new_patients, video and languages. It also shows the ids that the slot lookup needs: profile_id, practice_id, visit_motive_id, visit_motive_name and agenda_ids.

What leaves your computer

The recipe makes 3 requests to www.doctolib.de. They go out from a Doctolib tab in your browser, one search at a time. Nothing passes through wield.run. Wield logs each request on your computer, without bodies or query values.

Health searches are sensitive. Results stay on your device and never appear in telemetry, which is off by default.

Limits and terms

  • Doctolib's terms prohibit automated access and scraping. Run one lookup at a time for your own needs. Do not loop it.
  • Status on 7 Nov 2026 is "ok". The check ran 5 of 5 checks in 3 requests and 0.6 s. A dermatologist search in Berlin returned 157 practitioners.
  • The page param returns 20 results per page. Use it only when you need more.

In our benchmark (as of 7 Nov 2026, preliminary, still running), the recipe passed 9 of 9 runs with a median of 891 ms and no model cost. Browser Use with Claude Sonnet 5.5 passed 2 of 2 runs, with a median of 160.5 s and $0.38 per run. The check required at least five doctors with name and city. The method is on the benchmark page.
