Let Claude search willhaben, the Austrian marketplace
Wield lets Claude search the willhaben marketplace in Austria for second-hand items. Claude runs the willhaben.at/search-marketplace recipe with a search term, a price range and an optional Bundesland. The request runs in your own browser, with no login. The result lists titles, prices, locations, publish times and links. Contacting sellers stays on willhaben.at.

9 runs each, 7 November 2026. How we measure
What you need
- An MCP client such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor or Codex.
- A Chromium browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Vivaldi, Opera or Chromium) with the Wield extension.
- wield-mcp. Follow the quick start and the install page, then run
npx -y wield-mcp init.
No willhaben account is needed. This recipe needs no login.
Ask your agent
Ask with the item, the city or region and the sort order. For example:
"Search willhaben for a used bike in Wien under 300 euros, cheapest first."
Claude calls find_recipe, then run with willhaben.at/search-marketplace. It sends the item as query, the price limit as max_price, the region as state and the sort order as sort.
Params: what to put where
| Param | Required | What to put |
|---|---|---|
query | yes | What to search for, for example fahrrad or kinderwagen |
min_price | no | The lowest price in euros |
max_price | no | The highest price in euros |
state | no | A Bundesland such as Wien, Steiermark or Tirol. Leave it out to search all of Austria |
sort | no | 7 for relevance (the default), 1 for newest first, 3 for cheapest first, 4 for most expensive first |
page | no | The results page. The default is 1. Each page holds 30 results |
What comes back
The output has five fields: query, total, page, currency and items. The total field counts all matching ads, not only the current page.
Each item has id, title, price_eur, free, price_text, location, postcode, district, state, published, private, url, image_url and description. The free field marks ads given away at no cost. The private field shows whether the ad comes from a private seller or a dealer.
In a live check on 7 November 2026 at 12:25, a search for "fahrrad" under 300 euros in Wien, cheapest first, passed all 5 checks. It made one request and took 0.45 s.
What leaves your computer
The recipe sends one request to www.willhaben.at. It leaves from your own browser tab. Nothing goes through wield.run.
Limits and terms
willhaben's terms prohibit automated reading of ads. Use this recipe for your own searches, one search page at a time, from your own browser. It is not for collecting ads in bulk.
The recipe reads search results only. It does not contact sellers, and those steps stay on willhaben.at.
Wield caps every run at 12 steps, 40 requests and 60 seconds.
