9 runs each, 7 November 2026. How we measure

What you need

  • An MCP client such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor or Codex.
  • A Chromium browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Vivaldi, Opera or Chromium) with the Wield extension.
  • wield-mcp. Follow the quick start and the install page, then run npx -y wield-mcp init.

No Vinted account is needed. This recipe needs no login.

Ask your agent

Ask with the item, the price range and the order you want. For example:

"Search Vinted for a Levi's 501 jacket between 10 and 40 euros, cheapest first."

Claude calls find_recipe, then run with vinted.de/search-items. It sends the item as query, the range as price_from and price_to, and the order as order.

Params: what to put where

ParamRequiredWhat to put
queryyesWhat to search for, for example winterjacke 122 or nike air max 42
price_fromnoThe lowest price in euros
price_tonoThe highest price in euros
ordernorelevance (the default) or price_low_to_high for cheapest first

Vinted's search has no newest-first option, so the recipe cannot sort by listing date.

What comes back

The output has three fields: query, currency and items. Each item has id, title, brand, size, condition, price_eur, total_eur and url.

The price_eur field is the item price. The total_eur field adds Vinted's buyer protection fee. The brand field is empty when the seller did not set one.

In a live check on 7 November 2026 at 12:24, the check made one request, passed 4 of 4 checks and took 1.1 s. The page held 96 product cards and weighed 3.6 MB. Vinted's JSON catalogue API returns 404, so the recipe reads the product cards that the page itself renders.

What leaves your computer

The recipe sends one request to www.vinted.de. It leaves from your own browser tab. Nothing goes through wield.run.

Limits and terms

Vinted.de's robots.txt disallows ClaudeBot and sets the Content-Signal preference ai-input=no, which asks that the site's content not be used as AI input. Vinted's terms prohibit scraping. Wield runs this recipe only when you ask, from your own browser, one catalogue page per call: no bulk collection, no buying and no messaging.

The recipe does not buy, message sellers or change anything. Those steps stay on vinted.de.

Wield caps every run at 12 steps, 40 requests and 60 seconds.

FAQ

What is the difference between price_eur and total_eur?

price_eur is the item price. total_eur adds Vinted's buyer protection fee, so it is the amount you would pay in total.

Can Claude message a seller or buy the item?

No. The recipe only reads search results. Buying and messaging stay on vinted.de.

How fast is it compared with a browser agent?

In our preliminary runs, as of 7 November 2026 (still running), the Wield recipe had a median time of 920 ms and $0 model cost. Browser Use driving Claude Sonnet 5.5 had a median time of 136.5 s, at $0.20 per run. Bot protection did not block the browser agent on this site. The full method is on the Vinted search benchmark.

Which AI apps work with Wield?

Any MCP client. npx -y wield-mcp init sets up Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and Codex. See AI apps that work with Wield for the full list.
