Let Claude search StepStone jobs by title and location

Wield lets Claude search StepStone job listings by title and location. Claude runs the stepstone.de/search-jobs recipe. The request runs in your own browser, with no account. The result lists job titles, companies, locations, home-office options, posting times and links. The recipe never applies for a job.

What you need

  • An MCP client such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor or Codex.
  • A Chromium browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Vivaldi, Opera or Chromium) with the Wield extension.
  • wield-mcp. Follow the quick start and the install page, then run npx -y wield-mcp init.

No StepStone account is needed. This recipe needs no login.

Ask your agent

Ask with the job title, the place and the sort order. For example:

"Find Python developer jobs in Berlin, newest first."

Claude calls find_recipe, then run with stepstone.de/search-jobs. It sends the title as query, the place as location and the sort order as sort.

Params: what to put where

ParamRequiredWhat to put
queryyesA job title or skill, for example python entwickler, pflegefachkraft or data analyst
locationnoA city or region, for example berlin or münchen. The default is deutschland, which covers all of Germany
radius_kmnoThe search radius in km. Allowed values are 5, 10, 20, 30, 50 and 100. The default is 30
sortnorelevance (the default) or date. date sorts the newest postings first
pagenoThe results page. The default is 1. Each page holds 25 jobs

What comes back

The output has five fields: query, location, total, page and jobs. The total field is the number of matching jobs. Each job has id, title, company, location, home_office, salary, posted, label and url.

The label field can show a tag such as "Schnelle Bewerbung". The salary field is mostly empty, because StepStone usually shows salaries only to logged-in users.

In a live check on 7 November 2026 at 18:56, a search for "python entwickler" in Berlin returned 34 results and 25 jobs on the first page in 1.2 s. The check passed 4 of 4 tests. A search for "pflegefachkraft" in München, sorted by date with a 10 km radius, returned 340 results, newest first.

What leaves your computer

The recipe sends one request to www.stepstone.de. It leaves from your own browser tab, the same way a person's search would. Nothing goes through wield.run.

Limits and terms

Each call reads one results page, as a person browsing would. The recipe does not create an account and does not send applications.

Use it for your own job search. It is not for collecting listings in bulk.

Wield caps every run at 12 steps, 40 requests and 60 seconds.

FAQ

Can Claude apply for a job?

No. The recipe reads search results only. It does not create an account and does not send applications. Apply on StepStone yourself.

Why is the salary field empty?

StepStone usually shows salaries only to logged-in users, and this recipe does not log in. Open the job link to see what StepStone shows.

How do I see more than 25 jobs?

Pass a higher page number. Each page holds 25 jobs, and total tells you how many matches exist.
