Let Claude search jobs and apprenticeships on the Bundesagentur für Arbeit
To let Claude search German jobs, install Wield and ask for a job title and a place. Wield runs one search of the Bundesagentur für Arbeit job board with the arbeitsagentur.de/search-jobs recipe, from your own browser. It returns the employer, location, distance, salary when one is given, start date, publish date and link for each offer. No login is needed.

What you need
- An MCP client: Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or another MCP app.
- A Chromium browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Vivaldi, Opera) with the Wield extension.

You don't need an account to search.
Ask your agent
Name the job, the place and the time window. For example:
"Find Pflegefachkraft jobs within 25 km of Leipzig published in the last 7 days."
Claude runs arbeitsagentur.de/search-jobs with those values. For apprenticeships, ask for them in the same sentence, and Claude sets type to apprenticeship.

What comes back
The top level has query, location, total, page and jobs. total is the number of matching offers, and jobs holds the current page. Each job has:

In a live check on 7 November 2026, the search for Pflegefachkraft within 25 km of Leipzig returned 276 matching offers. The first page held 25 of them, and the call took 170 ms.
What leaves your computer
One request goes to rest.arbeitsagentur.de per search, sent from your own browser tab. Nothing goes through wield.run. Wield logs the method, host, path, status and timing on your computer. It never logs bodies or query values. Telemetry is off by default. Passwords and cookies never leave your computer.
About the source
The Bundesagentur für Arbeit runs this job board. It is a public-sector board with a documented public API, described on bund.dev. The recipe calls the current version of that API, v6. The older v4 path now returns 403. The recipe makes one search request per call.
Limits and terms
- Terms. The board is public. Use it for your own job search. The recipe's terms note says one search request per call.
- Recruitment agencies. They are excluded by default. Set
exclude_agenciestofalseto include them. - Status. The recipe reports OK on 7 November 2026 at 19:02 in a live check. It passed 5 of 5 checks.
FAQ
Does it need a login?
No. Searching the board needs no account. Wield never reads, copies or sends your cookies or passwords.
Can I search for apprenticeships?
Yes. Set type to apprenticeship. Apprenticeships were checked in the 7 November 2026 live test.
Is this the official job board?
Yes, the source is the Bundesagentur für Arbeit job search. Wield is not part of the Bundesagentur für Arbeit. It is a local MCP server that runs a public recipe for the board.
Is there a benchmark?
