Let Claude check IKEA store stock with aisle and bin
To let Claude check IKEA store stock, install Wield and ask with an article number and a city: "Is KALLAX 80275887 in stock in the Berlin IKEA stores? Show units, aisle and bin." Claude runs the ikea.com/check-stock recipe in your own browser. It returns stock for each matching store, with the stock level, quantity, Click & Collect, aisle and bin, and whether home delivery is available.

Parameters (4)
What you need
- An MCP client such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor or Codex.
- A Chromium browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Vivaldi, Opera or Chromium) with the Wield extension.
wield-mcp. Runnpx -y wield-mcp init. The install page and the quick start cover the details.
You need IKEA article numbers. These are 8 digits, such as 80275887 for KALLAX white 77x147. If you don't have one, ask your agent to find it first with the IKEA product search.
Ask your agent
Give the article number, the market and the store or city. Example:
Is KALLAX 80275887 in stock in the Berlin IKEA stores? Show units, aisle and bin.
Params: what to put where
Your agent fills these in from your sentence.
| Param | Required | What it means |
|---|---|---|
items | yes | One to 10 IKEA article numbers, 8 digits each |
market | no | IKEA country and language, such as de/de (the default), at/de or us/en |
store | no | Only stores whose name or city contains this text, such as Berlin, Tempelhof or München |
zip | no | A postcode for the home delivery check |
Article numbers differ by market. Take them from the IKEA search in the same market you check.
What comes back
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
market | The market that was checked |
store_filter | The store text you passed, or empty |
items | One entry per article number, with item_no, home_delivery and stores |
Each store entry shows the stock level (high, medium, low or out of stock), the quantity, Click & Collect, restock information, where to find the item (aisle and bin) and whether home delivery is available.
On 7 Nov 2026, a live check for KALLAX 80275887 returned four Berlin stores with 38 to 59 units each, plus aisle, bin and home delivery. The run made two requests and took 1.2 s.
What leaves your computer
The recipe makes two requests from a tab in your own browser. One goes to www.ikea.com. The other goes to api.salesitem.ingka.com, which is the stock service that IKEA's product pages call. The stock service needs a public client key. The recipe reads that key from the IKEA page when it runs, so you don't configure it.
There is no account and no cart. Nothing goes through wield.run. Wield does not read, copy or send your cookies or passwords.
Limits and terms
- Article numbers differ by market. A German number checked in
us/enreturns no stock data, because the item is not listed there under that number. - Two requests per run is the same traffic a product page makes when someone checks availability. Run it for one question at a time. Don't loop it.
- This recipe has no benchmark row yet. This page makes no speed claim.
FAQ
Can Claude reserve the item?
No. The recipe only reads stock. It has no account step and no cart step, so it adds nothing to a cart and reserves nothing.
Does it work outside Germany?
Yes, through the market parameter. Use article numbers from that market. Numbers differ by country, so a German number in us/en will not return stock.
Do I need an IKEA login?
No. The recipe needs no login.
Can I limit the result to one store?
Yes. Set store to a city or store name, such as Tempelhof. The recipe then returns only the stores whose name or city matches.
