Das Örtliche MCP server: let your AI agent find businesses and phone numbers

Wield is an MCP server that gives your AI agent one Das Örtliche tool, dasoertliche.de/search-businesses. Das Örtliche is a German phone directory. The tool searches businesses by trade or name in a city or postcode and returns about 30 entries with address, public phone number, category, opening state and a link. Paid entries are left out unless you ask for them. The recipe runs in your own browser and only reads search results.

dasoertliche.de/search-businessesFinds businesses by keyword or name in a city or postcode, from the A–Z listNoOK, 5 of 5 checks, 2 requests, 1.2 s

The tool takes keyword, a trade or business name, and city, a city or postcode. Both are required. The optional include_ads is false by default. Examples of keywords are Zahnarzt, Elektriker, Apotheke and Bäckerei Müller. Examples of cities are Berlin, Köln and 80331.

Each entry carries name, category, address, phone, open_now, opening, sponsored and url. The result has no rating field.

In our check on 7 November 2026, Zahnarzt in Berlin passed all 5 checks in two requests and 1.2 s, and returned 30 entries from the A–Z list.

How a request flows

  1. You ask your agent: "Find a Zahnarzt in Berlin and list name, address, phone number and whether it is open now."
  2. The agent calls find_recipe, then run with dasoertliche.de/search-businesses and keyword: "Zahnarzt" and city: "Berlin".
  3. wield-mcp passes the run through the local bridge to the Wield extension.
  4. The extension sends the two requests from your browser, one for each of the first two result pages.
  5. The entries go back to your agent. Nothing passes through wield.run.

What leaves your computer

The only host is www.dasoertliche.de. A search makes two requests, the first two result pages, 300 ms apart. No login is needed. Passwords and cookies never leave your computer: Wield never reads, copies or sends them. Wield logs each request on your computer only, with method, host, path, status and timing, and never logs bodies or query values. Telemetry is off by default.

Das Örtliche's terms, in plain words

We have not had the directory's terms reviewed by a lawyer, so this is not legal advice. The site's robots.txt allows everything. The recipe makes two requests per call and does not make calls, send e-mail or look up numbers in reverse. Business phone numbers and addresses are the public entries the directory publishes. Check the site's terms yourself before you automate anything else.

Das Örtliche shows paid premium entries, marked "Premiumtreffer (Anzeigen)". The recipe drops them by default. Set include_ads to true and the paid entries are kept, with sponsored set to true on each one.

Limits

  • Read only. The recipe searches. It makes no calls and sends no messages.
  • About 30 entries per call. The recipe reads two result pages and no more.
  • No ratings. Ratings are not in the output fields.
  • Run limits. A run has at most 12 steps, 40 requests, 5 MB per response and 60 seconds.
  • Bot checks stop the run. If a site shows a check, such as a CAPTCHA, the run stops and asks you to solve it in your own tab.

Example prompts

  • "Find Zahnarzt in Berlin and list the phone numbers and opening hours."
  • "Look up Bäckerei Müller in 80331 and tell me whether it is open now."
  • "Find Apotheke in 80331 with ads included, and mark which entries are sponsored."
