Let Claude search FlixBus trips between two cities
To let Claude search FlixBus trips, install Wield and name two cities and a date. For example: "Find FlixBus trips from Berlin to Prague next Friday and show departure, arrival, duration and price." Claude runs the flixbus.de/search-trips recipe in your own browser. It returns bus and train trips with times, transfers, seats left and the price the shop shows. No login is needed.

What you need
- Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or another MCP client.
- A Chromium browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Vivaldi, Opera) with the Wield extension.
wield-mcp. Runnpx -y wield-mcp init, or use the one-click Claude Desktop bundle on wield.run/install.
For the full setup, follow the quick start.
Ask your agent
Give the departure city, the arrival city and the travel date. The date must be exact, so write it out or give YYYY-MM-DD if you want a precise search. Claude calls find_recipe to find the recipe, then run with the parameters.
You: Find FlixBus trips from Berlin to Prague next Friday and show departure, arrival, duration and price.
Claude then runs flixbus.de/search-trips with from, to and date, and reads the times, duration and price from each trip.
Params: what to put where
| Param | Required | What to put in it |
|---|---|---|
from | yes | Departure city, for example Berlin. |
to | yes | Arrival city, for example München or Prague. |
date | yes | Departure date as YYYY-MM-DD. |
adults | no | Number of adult travellers. Default 1. |
only_available | no | true drops sold-out and otherwise unbookable trips. Default true. |
City names are free text. Wield uses the first match and returns the city it used, in the from and to fields.
What comes back
The result has from, to, date, currency, shop_url and trips. Trips are sorted by departure.
Each trip shows the departure and arrival times, the departure and arrival stations, duration_min, transfers, the means of travel (bus or train), price_eur and price_without_fee_eur. It also shows whether the trip is available, its status and seats_left. The price_eur includes the platform fee, and price_without_fee_eur shows the price without it.
shop_url opens the same search in the FlixBus shop, where you book.
What leaves your computer
The recipe makes 3 requests to global.api.flixbus.com. They go out from your browser. Nothing passes through wield.run. Wield logs each request on your computer, without bodies or query values.
Limits and terms
- FlixBus's terms restrict automated extraction of timetable and price data. The recipe runs one search at a time from your browser, using 3 requests. Don't loop it to watch prices.
- Booking stays in the FlixBus shop, reached through
shop_url. The recipe never books. - Status on 7 Nov 2026 is "ok". The check passed 7 of 7 checks in 3 requests and 1.0 s.
In our benchmark (as of 7 Nov 2026, preliminary, still running), the recipe passed 9 of 9 runs with a median of 791 ms and no model cost. Browser Use with Claude Sonnet 5.5 passed 3 of 3 runs, with a median of 41.1 s and $0.23 per run.
